But now because of so many reasons like pollution or health related problems we are facing so many problems related to hairs like dandruff, hair fall, less growth, light hairs, color damage etc. So if I am talking about the solution for these problems we all recommend home remedies. Today I want to focus on Tea Tree Oil.

What is tea tree oil?

Tea Tree Oil is an essential oil which is extracted from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree. It is also known as Melaleuca Oil. This tree is normally found in the Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. It has a camphor like smell and pale yellow color. It has antiseptic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties because of its component named terpinen-4-ol. Tea tree oil also has another component called 1,8-cineole which makes it allergic to your skin and scalp. However, when it is produced, its 1,8-cineole component is minimized so that it has only terpinen-4-ol to provide numerous benefits for the skin and hairs.

How Does Tea Tree Oil Help in Hair Growth?

Tea tree oil is used to treat various scalp and hair-related problems, such as hair loss, dandruff, scalp dermatitis, etc. There is some specific properties of tea tree oil that help hair growth.

• Kills Fungus and Bacteria which causes dandruff
• Cleans the Scalp and Opens the Pores
• Moisturizes the Scalp
• Nourishes the Hair Roots
• Controls Excess Oil Production on the Scalp

How to Use Tea Tree Oil for Hair Growth?

Tea tree oil:

Simply massage the oil on the scalp regularly to prevent many scalp issues and to produce healthy, shiny, beautiful hair. It enhances hair growth and reduces itchiness, dandruff, dryness and oiliness.

• Apply a few drops of tea tree oil to scalp and gently massage for 5 – 7 minutes.
• Leave for 10 – 15 minutes and wash with tea tree shampoo.
• Repeat regularly for effective results.

Note: you can also use tea tree oil-based hair products like shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, and anti-dandruff shampoos.

Tea Tree Oil with Carrier Oil

Tea tree oil can also use with Carrier oils like baby oil, olive oil, almond oil, vegetable oil, and jojoba oil. This process is used for hair growth, hair loss, head lice, itchiness, dandruff, and dryness.

• Mix 10-12 drops of warm tea tree oil with 1 teaspoon of any carrier oil.
• Apply this mixer on the scalp and gently massage for 5–10 mins.
• Cover the head with a hot towel to open clogged pores.
• After 10–15 mins wash your hairs with shampoo.
• Repeat this regularly for best results.

Note: you can also spray that mixer of oils by adding some water on the entire scalp with the help of a spray bottle in place of doing massage.

Tea Tree Oil, Coconut Milk and Grape Seed Oil Shampoo

This tea tree oil shampoo contains coconut milk, grape seed oil and vegetable glycerin. It will definitely help you to regain hair growth and reduce hair thinning issue. It contains vegetable which has a lot of carbohydrates and many other valuable properties that lead to healthy hair growth.

• Mix 10 drops tea tree oil, ¼ cup Coconut Milk, ½ cup Vegetable Glycerin, 2 tsp Grape seed Oil, ½ cup Liquid Castile Soap.
• Use this mixture as a shampoo.
• Regular use of this tea tree oil shampoo, this help you to prevent hair fall issues and regain hair growth.

Tea Tree Oil and Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil has Vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium and phospholipids. It promotes hair growth and prevents hair loss by strengthening the hair and repairing the damaged hair. This oil also adds the shine and smoothness to your hair.

·        Mix 1 tsp tea tree oil and 10 tsp sweet almond oil in a bowl.

·        Apply this mixed oil on your scalp once in a week to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.
